Meet Marsi
EMDR Therapy for Women, Children, Anxiety, Trauma, and Life Transitions
Marsi Walker is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who is passionate about helping children, teens, young adults, and women find hope, healing, and lasting change. She believes that every person's story matters and that healing begins in a safe, compassionate relationship where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood.
Marsi works with individuals experiencing anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, low self-esteem, and the lingering effects of childhood experiences. She is especially passionate about helping clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and nervous system so they can move beyond survival patterns and begin living with greater confidence, resilience, and peace.
Her approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to each client's unique needs. Marsi integrates evidence-based therapies including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), attachment-based interventions, Polyvagal-informed care, somatic techniques, play therapy, and solution-focused strategies. Rather than relying on a single approach, she thoughtfully adapts therapy to meet each client where they are while honoring their individual goals and strengths.
Drawing from her experience in community mental health and school-based therapy, Marsi has had the privilege of supporting children, teens, adults, and families through a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. She welcomes clients from all backgrounds and offers both secular and faith-informed therapy based on each client's values and preferences.
Clients can expect a warm, supportive environment where they are encouraged to move at a pace that feels safe and comfortable. Marsi believes therapy is a partnership built on trust, curiosity, and compassion. Her hope is that each client leaves session with greater understanding, practical tools, renewed hope, and confidence that meaningful, lasting change is possible.
One of the guiding principles of Marsi's practice comes from Maya Angelou:
"Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better."
